    29:50 pr. Great push by Karen – she got me by 14 seconds.

    I hope Leesha is ok. Tore her shin badly on the box jump. Went to the hospital for stitches.

    29:34 as Rx’ed. PR by 8:28! Had to try to keep up with Larry! Glad my double unders kicked in!

    Tentative on box jumps. Still having Achilles issues. KTEs were fun with the tear in my hand from Erin yesterday. Good prep for Regionals, Hero WOD followed by a killer chipper. WBS were tough.

    Hope Lesha is ok! I vote for slanted plyo boxes. I’ll donate to that cause for sure!

    Just talked to Leasha guys and she had to get some stitches but she’ll be fine. Turns out the doctor that was working does CrossFit in his garage so Leasha didn’t have to explain much to him when she showed up!!

      He asked what she did…Her reply: “Jumping on a box”…..
      His reply: “Ohhhhh, you were CrossFitting, huh?” And then the conversation continued…….

      Nothing like knowing that you may need your insurance card when you show up to CF to do the WOD….

    THANK YOU to my 6 a.m. homies Carson, Jada, Linda, and Renee (and no, your van isn’t THAT dirty) for helping a sister out. The “scrape” scared me when I saw the bone, so y’all were awesome to humor me (except for the part when Jada wanted to tape the paper towels around my leg with duct tape!). If I missed giving you a shout-out, it’s because I was a little preoccupied with the blood and stuff, so I didn’t see you!

    Apparently, the “scrape” started just below the knee but didn’t maim me until mid-shin. All the nurses called the wound “meaty”. Nice.

    I will be lounging with Lortab at home today (because this thing is getting painful now that the shot is wearing off).

      You never want to hear your wound described as “meaty”! Glad Garrett wasn’t there this morning…..he would have passed out!

      I realized after my Lortab nap that I never turned the box on its side. I was unnecessarily doing 24″ box jumps.

      On the one hand, I’ve never done a 24″ box jump before today because I was too chicken (actually, I was nervous doing the jumps but couldn’t understand why at the time). So, now I’ve done 12 – 24″ box jumps.

      On the other hand, the WOD was for 20″ and if I had paid attention to what I was doing and set up for 20″, I’d have probably not gashed my shin and completed the Filthy Fifty.

      Not sure which scenario I like better…

      Lesha, are you a marooon, or morrrron? =o) Yes, you can blame it on the Lortab!
      Way to go on the 24′ box!!! You know they won’t let you go back to the comforts of your 20″ box now, knowing that you can get up on a 24″!!!

    Damn Lesha! Tracey would be proud! Those boxes do bite. Slanted boxes are nice for stability but the edge is no different. They are all dangerous. Kat scraped her shin on the same workout last year! Get that thing healed soon.

    no no larry. that was with knee’s to chest. i did start with DU but i wasted about 2min. If i knew how to do DU. it would have been real close. great job you guys

    Warmed up on gymnastics stuff today, & then went into as many rounds as possible in 15 minutes of 7 burpee pullups and 7 front squats, 155#.

    Scaled to just burpees and 115#: 6+9

    Glad I had Will breathing down my neck the whole time, otherwise I probably would have been standing around looking at the ground a whole lot more on burpees. Double Unders were 2-5 at a time.. mostly 2. I suck at those.

      We had a decent pace there for a bit. The wallball shots slowed me down, but the burpees is where I really bit the cheese… that’s where you secured the lead and left me in the dust. Great job.

    I thought it was only animals that show up with duct tape wound dressings??? Duct tape in the waiting room is ALWAYS a bad sign.

    Glad you are OK. Hope the first thing you do when you can is box jumps….get back on that horse!

    Perhaps painting the edges of the boxes with the rubber paint stuff would be a good idea. It makes a nice smooth edge. (Think the plastic stuff on plier handles). I use that crap for everything…..it is solid and will take care of the nasty edges.

      22:46PR – Thanks to Jeff for the race! My time would have been much slower if it were not for the dragrace we had going on.

      took about 2 minutes to get my first 10 DU’s. I blamed it on the rope. Changed ropes and then did 33 in a row….go figure?

      Box jumps and WBS felt surprisingly good. KTE’s still pwne me everytime.

    20″ box jumps
    Bear crawls for lunges
    500m row for DU

    I’ve developed a WallBall complex, after the WB suckfest at Sectionals, those things own me. Gotta get my mind right.

    35mins – 401 total reps.
    Tried to complete the WOD on an empty stomach….no fuel in the tank by the time I got to the Wall Ball Shots. Lesson learned, the hard way.

    As rx’ed (FIRST TIME)- 34:47
    November 2009-20″ box-33:38
    July 2009-18″ box, and probably not legit KTEs-35:42

    Next time going for PP unbroken (got 30 straight today, so I know I can do it.)

    Russ, I had a 3 block ‘snack’/meal just before I came…I think it’s what helped me get through it. It really does make a difference!!

    Way to keep moving today Katie!

    32:17 as rx’d for chics today… 24″ box, 12kg KBS, 35lb PP, 14lb WBS, etc…

    PR by about 30 secs, but my R.O.M was much better today. After competing in sectionals I made an effort to make every rep count. I know that KTE were better, though slower, than last time.

    Okay, so I won’t lie–this kicked my ASS! I stayed home from work cause I’ve been so sick with this sinus crap, but got so pumped when I saw the WOD that I had to come in and give it a shot. Maybe not so smart…. I scaled the box jumps to an 18″ (due to some pregger issues), but at the last minute Josh needed one of my boxes so he told me to do 12″. Needless to say blew through those, but it was all downhill from there! I had to take a break between KTE and PP because I was so beyond overheated. Not sure if it was the sinus mess, or what, but I just couldn’t keep up or get my breathing regulated & was so frustrated. Scaled WB’s to 10# and made it through 28 burpees at 35:00 cut-off.
