Greetings CFHSV Athletes,
A few of you have approached me about running shoes and others have inquired via the blog. I wanted to share with you the recommended shoes the CF Endurance Course provided. Please remember these are just recommendations from the CFE crew and each of you will have your own special need.
Adidas Adizero Pro (I like these and had some buddies that are Tri guys that converted to CFE and like them a lot)
Mizuno Wave Universe 2
Inov 8 (the F-lite series) remember the model number for inov 8 shoes is their weight and for GPP running some of their hard core trail shoes may be a little much with the knobbies
For shorter distances and CF WODs they also stated
Vibram 5 Fingers
I am like Russell and like to try before I buy. Hope this helps give you a few more ideas. Sure there are many more low profile POSE positive shoes out there. If you know please share so I can add to my list and try.
Some of the models may have changed as this info is a year and a half old.
Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive! OkieDB Out
So, my brain is still adjusting to 6am. In scaling TTB, added an extra 5 of everything to the end. Finished at cutoff with burpees & 20″ box jumps (reps as Rx’d), 20/20/10/10/5 TTB – w/KTE in 1st/2nd rounds. At 28:36, finished that extra 5 of everything.
One second away from getting beat by the worlds fittest woman. damn she is fast.
Didn’t use and inhaler or nasonex today to compare to yesterday’s success. at 10 minutes I felt like I had 1 lung. I really couldn’t get a full deep breath or exhale all the way either. I think a lot of us could be experiencing trouble with allergies we aren’t aware of. Didn’t the native indians call this place “the Valley of the Great sickness” for all the junk in the air?
I’m really hoping this is what is going on with me. My energy levels have been horrible for the last few days. I had no gas at all during yesterdays WOD and woke up feeling drained today.
Could be the virus that is going around. Zero energy for 3 days plus a few other joys. I’m just coming out of it myself. Yesterday’s performance was awful for me – I was in bed at 6pm and slept till 8am this morning. Much better now. Back at it tomorrow.
25:17 had to do steps instead of jumps (achilles pull) @ 24″, did 20 reps of toes to bar per round.Looking back, I should have done the rep scheme as rx’d. It was way harder to maintain 20 for 5 rounds. I did this wod with Russell who finished in lightening speed. I felt like the little engine that could!!!!! toot toot:)

Tye – no wonder you asked how I scaled!
I think.
I’m lost now, but nevermind that. To keep going on with the way your hands were ripped was impressive.
Thanks Tye – I would guess that most of HSV – at least to UAH – heard obscenities when I got in the shower. OUCH!!
As Rx’ed- 14:48

Ask and ye shall receive.
Mobility WODS = Outstanding
27:07 asRx’d
Scaled to 20″ and 15 TTB per round
Finished 4 + 10 in 25:00
3 rds + 28 in 25min as rx’d
27:04 scaled to 20″ box
20:19 I did not enjoy this one at all.
Hey…at least I beat the other girl (barely) that did it at 24″
Scaled to 20″box (without incident-YESSSS!),
And, 20 TTB for the 30-25reps
3 rds + 18
30:27. Not quite RX’ed, only had 18″ box available. Toes-to-bar are new to me and taking a while.
