Kevin this is a great picture of you but we sure need to fix those double-unders
You may see “great picture”…all I see is intense shin pain and agonizing frustration. I’m sure I’m screaming profanities and I apologize to any virgin ears that are around me any time I have to do double unders. (but seriously…thank you for the pic)
I’ll gladly pay you 1000 to fix my double unders.
Time for a double unders “back to basics” class? I’m the first to commit and sign up.

Left shoulder felt tight on first SP lift, but loosened up and the 135 felt good. I really need to work on my squat to get it closer to DL.

I needed a good day today especially after layingan egg yesterday.
185 (PR), 105!(PR), 275 = 565 (PR)
I consider the DL an accomplishment (280 was previous CFT DL), because I’ve struggled with getting heavy weight while maintaining form. Hopefully, with some posterior chain and reverese hyper work, I can continue to increase without compromising my back. And STOKED about the 105 SP!

And I’m with you on the DL…Although my PR was only 5#, I had people watching, and I KNOW it was not NEAR as ugly as my 255# PR back in the Fall!

Was anyone watching Fox News this morning? As I was leaving for work they previewed the next story with the caption “Military Mom Fit” or something like that. It was showing this lady I think she was the subject of the story in the studio doing Cleans, then Thrusters. And the news reporters where talking about how she was getting in shape and created a business out of it. I had to go and couldn’t wait to hear the story and didn’t know if anyone else caught it.
I caught it. They had Gretchen jumping rope 🙂
The chick was from Crossfit Virginia Beach I believe…she started Crossfit to make her husband proud. I think she said he is a Navy Seal.
She talked about how Crossfit is constantly varied, etc and how it differs from a “normal” gym as far as the community.
Pretty cool to see Crossfit get some National air time!!!
I’m more of a Fox News watcher than CNN, but CF made National News on CNN in June, as well. Probably not as entertaining as Gretchen jumping rope, but still very cool!

Wasn’t really trying to break any records. My lack of attendance over the last several weeks has really knocked me back a few notches. I was glad to see that I’ve maintained a little.

Squats felt great today.
So close to 800. If I can pull my DL pr of 375 I will be there. DL form was not what it needed to be today which resulted in less than optimal performance. SP, as always, needs work.

Like Will, not going for any records due to being out for 6 months, but still more than i targeted by 20,10,20……so i’m happy with that. I need a trick for finding more power in my DL.
