    Flew to DC this afternoon. Got off the plane and went straight to the CF Potomac, where I have visited a couple times. It is a good box with friendly folks.
    Their WOD:
    3 Power cleans
    6 pushups
    9 knees to elbows
    AMRAP in 3 minutes
    1 minute rest
    5 rounds
    I did 12+ rounds all told. It was a good different WOD.

    Sorry to hear CFH will be closed this week. Hope to see all of you next week.

    95-95-95-95-95-95-95. First time to do this exercise, learning the technique. last two were my best reps. Can only get better… I hope.

    Set up a camera and recorded the lifts. It is helpful to see yourself.
    Used fairly light weight today for an active recovery work out.
    Now I’m nursing both a hip adductor and rotator cuff strain. Yeeeh me.

    To date, it has been confirmed that only two people have died from the ‘swine’ strain family (Orthomyxoviridae) of influenza viruses. A great deal of tomfoolery, ballyhoo, media coverage, and shananagans have resulted (which include the closing of the Matrix). In contrast, the annual ‘human’ flu, causes 35,000+ related deaths per anum, in this country alone. Perhaps more serious consideration will be given towards closing the border, rather than municipalities and consumer driven businessses. -ASB

    Yeah, this ridiculous swine flu has me using all of my sick days this year to stay home with the kiddos, and it’s only april.

    85% 1 RM workout – I actually liked this alot. worked out at 105 x6 115 x1 at the end and still had strength. I have been stuck at a max of 125 for a long time and I think today working on mastering the wrist turn helped a lot. I definitely could tell the difference in strength. Looking forward to a new PR on this one soon. On a side note, i have an odd tendency to look for mud and slop today……………OINK OINK.

    I have downed my fair share of bird flu products today. Gobble Gobble! Oh I might die….how scary what a shock I am not immortal yet. Still working on that..I’ll let everyone know when I have a major break through.
