WOD:

A. Snatch Technique Training: EMOM x 5 minutes

1 power snatch + 1 snatch balance + 1 hang squat snatch

rest 3 minutes, adjust weights

EMOM x 5 minutes

1 power snatch + 1 hang squat snatch

B. 4 sprint rounds AFAP for time:

5 over the bar burpee

5 squat snatch 75/55 or 95/65 or 115/80 or 135/95

50 double unders or 25 over the bar ski mogul jumps

5 hang power snatch

rest exactly 2 minutes between each round

Score = total time minus 6 minutes and each round’s individual time

    I have been at CrossFit Huntsville for almost five years. I was told by great coaches like Dennis Berry, Mandee and Nathaniel that one day Double Unders would just “click”. “IF you attempt them every time we do them in a WOD and practice them at home that one day you would get them”. Well it is with great excitement that today they clicked for real in practice and a WOD.

    I am sharing this not to brag but to encourage those who struggle with any movement. KEEP TRYING, it might not be today and it might not be in four years but one day you will accomplish that movement or that goal.

    THanks CFHSV coaches for the guidance and the patience.

    B. Now I did the WOD but did 10 PS instead of 5. If you look at my splits it is a great indicator to show that my Strength Endurance and ability to recover is severely compromised☹

    – 2:21 Crash &
    – 2:17 Burn

    Survived the Day is how I am going to chalk this one up.

    A: 35# across worked shoulder flexibility for snatch balance & squat snatch, 55# across for second 5 minutes
    B: 7:28 @ 55# and DU–scaled to power snatch after squat snatch took too long in the first round
