John Hand knows how Mandee and I feel about him. It’s hard to see him move on. He embodies so much that we admire and love. He’s done everything we’ve ever asked of him while working as CFHSV. He came as a teenager, became a coach, a man, a dear friend, and he’s moving on. Mandee and I often pray and hope that Holden grows up to show the authenticity that John Hand has. He’s genuine, grounded, and rooted in faith and integrity. As good as a coach and athlete as he is we’ll be missing the person. Thanks for everything Hand

John Hand is truly a unique young man. He is smart yet understanding, a talented athlete yet humble, and above all he is a kind and loyal friend. I adore JOHN Hand and will miss his dear, sweet, personality every day. I pray he will return to Huntsville soon. It’s a selfish prayer, I know, but it’s a sincere one. He has touched so many of us in ways that make us all very grateful to know him, but very sad to see him move away. I love you JOHN Hand. ?

I have enjoyed chasing you in every WOD we do, you have helped me become a better athlete. I am lucky to call you a friend and you will truly be missed more than you know. Best of luck to you in your new profession. Don’t be gone too long.

John, words cannot express the love, gratitude and thanks I feel for you and for all that you’ve done for us, CFHSV and our community through the years. Nathaniel and I have spent so many nights sitting at our dinner table talking about how much we respect you and just how thankful we are for our friendship. You are truly one of kind, always true to yourself, always standing up for what it is right, and always the first to lend a helping hand. The care and concern you show for others is a testament to your character, and a quality we have admired since you were a teenager. We hope and pray that the road ahead for you is full of nothing but happiness and joy! We love you and will miss you deeply John Hand!

John, you are one of the best people I’ve ever known. I didn’t experience your coaching much since I’m always in the back, but you ALWAYS came back to say hello and ask what I was up to. This among many things makes you stand out. You stand out as the single best coach I’ve ever experienced. I pray for your future and yet I know that you can do anything you want in life because of who you are. Sad to see you go my friend. Good luck!
